"I would like to say that I really appreciated that you asked to your personal doctor to set of my health news. I would like to thank you warmly for this attention with regard to me, which was of a great comfort for me. Bhutan is a jewel : by the wealth of its supernaturally protected environment, its amazing landscapes, its magnificent civil and religious architectures, its culture and its intact traditions. For my part I consider that the main wealth of Bhutan is in the heart of its inhabitants. I was personally able to realize it during my hospitalisation in Thimphu and the next days. So much mark of affection, sincere and generous support on behalf of your subjects with regard to me went up to my heart. Never I shall forget this impulse of solidarity and compassion. My photographic work in Bhutan concerned first its inhabitants. I realized a series of portraits, which will be presented during exhibitions in France. So, in my way, I shall honour the inhabitants of the Bhutan for whom I have most high respect" ...
